In July we went camping witht he Bartel family to Princeton BC. This is a yearly tradition and a fun time for all. This year Mom and Dad Bartel were not able to join us do to Kal's Dad having to have quintuple by-pass. It was fun to have all the brothers there with their wives and children together. We went rafting down the river, jumped of Bromley Rock, played in the river and just hung out. The weather was a little hot and Walker and his cousin Sara were not such happy campers in the heat, but it did eventually cool off.

We also attended the Smith Family reunion in Hill Spring, AB. All The Harry and Mary-Alice children were there as well as a large number of the grandchildren and great granchildren. We had a fun talent show and lots of good food. Grandpa Bob and Grammy Pammy were there from Seattle, which Jackson and Walker were so happy to have around. Jackson started calling my Dad Grandpa Bob because my Dad calls Jackson, Bob and Junior, which Jackson acts as if he hates it, but really he thinks it's cool. It was fun to see allot of my cousins that I have not seen in a long time and watch our kids play together. We are looking forward to the next reunion!

Kal and I have decided that it is time that we moved closer to our families again. We are hoping to move to Vernon, BC. It is about 3.5 hours from Kal's parents and about 5 from mine. We love this area of the country and are now applying for jobs like crazy for Kal, so if any one has any connections in Vernon please let us know!
