Sorry no pictures again.....my camera is in a box waiting to be un packed...so you will just have to read what I have to say!
I thought I would catch you up on waht has been happening with us and our move to Kamloops. We packed up our house on Feb 7, well I should say I had movers pack up our house....which by the way was fantastic. We then left on Saturday afternoon, we were not sure if we should leave then or not as the road between Golden and revelstoke had been closed the day before. We were staying with our friends Wendy and Bernard Lemarche and felt very welcome and at home but we wanted to get our long drive over with as soon as we could so off we went. The roads were clear until Golden and then after that it was a different story....a little scarry to say the least. As we approached Revelstoke traffic slowed down to a crawl...sure enough there was a big accident up ahead at around 3 Valley Gap and the highway was closed until about midnight...so we grabbed a hotel and hung out for the night. The next morning there was about 15-20 cm of new snow...but we pressed on and made it safely to Kamloops that afternoon. We have now been staying in a hotel while waiting to take posession of our new house on Friday. Have you ever spent 2 weeks in a hotel room with two
very active little boys.....in the winter time? Let's just say that is has been an adventure. We are lucky to have a suite with 2 tv's and a seperate bedroom.....at least we have not had to spend 2 weeks watching treehouse!
I can hardly wait for Friday when the house is officially ours! I took a huge cheque to my laywers office today...so sad to see the money go...but very exciting as well. BC has this really stupid tax called a Property Transfer Tax...can I just say that I hate this tax...Alberta does not have this tax...because Alberta loves it's citizens...any way it cost me $4000.00 for this stupid tax...there is no purpous to the tax other than paying some politician's expense account I am sure. So annoyng and now I have $4000 less to go towards my van......I am so cranky about it!
So Jackson is now registered for Kindergarten in September.. and the school is just across the street for our house! He is so excited, he met his teacher and the class is going to be really small, probably around 15 kids. Then church is about 3 minutes away just around the corner and the members seem so nice and generous. We have a moving party ready to go for Saturday. The ward has just been reorganized and so we started out in Kamloops 2nd ward but we are now in Kamloops 1st. Fortuanitly they gave away all the big callings this last Sunday...oh darn! I am however leading the music in sacrement on Sunday...not a very musically talented ward...what a blessing it way to be in 8th ward with such musically gifted people. It should be interesting....any one know how to nicely tell the organist that she needs to follow the Chorister? It is kind of funny to hear the organ playing at one speed and see the chorister totally going at another...at first I thought it was the chorister until I lead the music in relief society and nope not the chorister definitly the pianist!(the organist and the pianist are the same lady) Any way we shall see how it goes, should be entertaining!
Well I guess this is long enough, hopefully you have not fallen asleep, but I will update more next week when we are in the new house and things are a little settled.

I am so glad to hear things are going okay - although that tax SUCKS. Nova Scotia has a dumb one that is similar.
I also found a few of JAckson's clothes and this touqe and gloves - so if you tell me your address then I'll mail them to you.
AND I can't believe I forgot to bring over your lunch for your drive before you left. My brain is seriously forgetful lately. Sigh.
