Not really in a blogging frame of mind lately......

We have had one busy and FUN summer!!!!! We have been to Calgary and went to the Stampede, the zoo, and visited with wonderful friends. We have been camping 4 times, went to the park numerous times, lots of day trips here and there and just had a wonderful time. No wonder I have not been blogging......! I have put together a bunch of pictures from our adventures, which they are usually more exciting then my boring ramblings!

Jackson started 1st Grade! His teachers name is Mrs. Black-Haughton and she is super nice!
Jackson is loving school and so far his favourite part is recess...I am so not surprised!
The top picture is his official first full day of school, the picture below is the first day of school, but it was only a half day. He wanted to look like Dan from the show Bakugon.... for those who have little boys you will know who this is, for those who don`t just nod your head and act like you know...I do that allot!

In June I was called as the Young Women's president and just before school started we had a sleepover at my house, here I am with one of my girls, Camille. We were playing a game with Oreo cookies and we have icing all over our faces. The sleepover involved any thing but sleeping, but it was a blast! We made a Slurpee run at 1 am, played games, went swimming, ate munchies and laughed all night long!

Kal and his babes

One of the perks of Kal's job is that we can stay at the hotel for free, so one night we did just that! We invited our friends over for pizza and swimming and then we had a sleepover with our little family. In the morning we had big Belgian waffles with strawberries and whip cream!

What do you get when you get two crazy ladies and one big idea?
A whole lot of work, but it was so worth it!

My girlfriend Kimberlee and I decided that we wanted to can lots of yummy things this summer. Since we can't seem to do any thing on a small scale, we have been canning for days and days! It all started with peaches...200lbs to be exact and it just kept going from there!
We ended up with 70+ quarts of peaches, 133 jars of Salsa, 5 dozen jars of Jam (a BIG thank you to my Mom for that one) a dozen jars of pickled beans and a dozen jars of crushed tomatoes...and we plan to do pears and apple sauce, juice and slices for pie filling in the next couple of weeks. Yes indeed we are nuts!

Beautiful Peaches!!!

We hand picked all our tomatoes!

Thank you to my Mom for watching the kids and Jen for lending a hand!

Thank you to the missionaries for cutting up and making a triple batch for us as a service!

Lila turned 1!!!!
We had a little party for her with some good friends and my Mom. My pictures are a little out of order, but you can figure it out!

Funny boy!

Lila loves food
Lila loves her naps
Lila loves dirt, sand, and rocks
Lila loves her dollies
Lila loves to get dirty
Lila does not like to swim or to sit in the bath tub, but would much rather just splash in the water
Lila loves her brothers
Lila is so happy almost all of the time
Lila is a true light in our family

Walker is mad...can't you tell?
This was taken while we were camping with the Bartel family
What amazes me how this little boy can go from totally ticked off to this...

And of course his dirty feet...My kids attract dirt...it is like they have a dirt magnet built into their DNA.
Lila and Bruno...he was not impressed by this girl who would not leave him alone.

Tuckered out from at day at the Stampede

Not only is Cotton Candy yummy to eat, it makes a great pillow!

With our good friends the Bryson's at the Stampede. We bought the kids yellow shirts and put our Hula Hunnies logo on the back so we could keep track of them better and it worked like a charm. We were really surprised that not more families did the same thing.

My angel

She loves tomatoes and ate this one in about 5 minutes!

I especially love the picture of Kal holding all of the kids, they all look like mini-Kal's in their own way. It made me laugh so hard:) Miss you and sending love your way!
